Portals exist as gates or doorways into other worlds. Their anomalous presence in reality grants us permission to suspend disbelief, inviting curiosity to explore dimensions different from our own.
Like a tear in a cloth that cannot be mended, portals also irrevocably change how we perceive our own world. As if nature dropped a stitch while sewing up the fabric of our perceived reality, portals simultaneously expose the maker and us as a necessary part of their stage.
